It has been a while since we had the weekends all to ourselves. We are letting Valerie have a stayover at my Mum's place because we all know she is about to start school so we want her to spend some quality time with my parents before they see lesser of her later on.

This, this also means quality Dating time for Le Hubby and I! Yes, I really mean dating! Who said anything about not being able to date after we are married and have kids~

Le Hubby wanted to catch the Angry Bird Movie and I thought he was kidding initially! But there is really an actual movie about Angry Birds. Nowadays, everything can be made into movies leh~

Since it's a date... I should probably doll up a little~

Change parting... show more of my lilac hair.
For your information, my face was not photoshopped. It was slanted. And so, I always prefer to take photo with my left profile.

Seems like The Great Singapore Sales have started!
So much sales going on in Orchard.
Mitju having 50% off storewide leh!
All these for just slightly over $30 yo!

Our lunch at Takashimaya Basement.
Jap food! So full!!!

Time for Angry Bird~

So expensive to catch a movie nowadays~ What happen to our $7 movie tickets!
The movie was not too bad lah, there's some sad, happy funny moments.

After the show, we planned to head to Le Hubby's usual hangouts. Along with his buddies for a little get-together at Tanjong Pagar.

They will usually have dinner at this Ramen place before heading over to a nearby pub for their drinks.

 Some background of the restaurant:
It started in Hakata, ramen capital of Japan. Well known for it's Tonkotsu-based ramen.
Ikkousha makes wholesome Tonkotsu Ramen

Remember to write down your name and no. of pax for your turn.

Crowded means it should be GOOD ya?

Reasonable and affordable price~

Everyone will be given this piece of paper to make our orders.

You can customize the whole ramen yourself. The kind of broth, the type of noodles and any extra  side dishes to go along.

Deals~

Half Pint (250ml) $6, Full Pint (500ml) $10

Letting our hair down and have some drinks while out baby is away on a stayover~

Bonito Ramen $13.50

This broth made from pork bones were rich, creamy and flavorful.
Sedap la~! I think this broth wins the broth at Men-ichi Kyoto Tonkotsu Ramen at Jurong Point!
HahHAHAHAH.

Black Tonkotsu $13.50

Garlic flavored Tonkotsu Ramen which was also very rich and flavorful. The homemade Cha Shu was sliced thin, very tender and not fatty at all.
Yummilicious lah!

Free flow of Hard Boiled Eggs~

 Gyoza $5

The gyoza was pretty good too! The Gyoza wrapper (Gyoza Skin) is thin and the filling is light and wholesome. This dish came with a kind of hot sauce that was made from Yuzu and something else which tasted quite new to me if you were to dip the gyoza with sauce.

Overall, I enjoyed my meal. Nice ramen recommended by Le hubby!
Saw a lot of raves for their God Fire Ramen and Fried Chicken!
But don't think I can take the Spicy Ramen la, but will be back to try the Fried Chicken.

Food: 8.5/10
Service: 8/10
Overall: 8/10
Will I visit again? Yes, Would wanna try their highly raved fried chicken
